9.28.24 | U16 Rockets Hockey Club (7) vs PAL Jr Islanders (0)

#52 Max Brodeur - ‘08 Goaltender - Rockets Hockey Club

Very athletic, fluid moving on pads and in recoveries, so smooth in and out of butterfly. Wasn't tested much but covers lower third quickly and gets low/wide as attacks come in close. Holds his glove / hand posture very well.

#9 Vladimir Provorov - ‘08 Forward - Rockets Hockey Club

Left handed center always ready in breakouts DZ good positioning available with controlling hands. Sets up late goal in blowout backdoor after multiple chances created in shift. Never rushed on the puck, in control with base and reach to protect.

#26 Nikita Fedotov - ‘08 Defenseman - Rockets Hockey Club

6’0” righty can let it fly from the point, getting high quality shots from the point, heavy wrist and slap shot. Big steps and physical, mobile / balanced to get body around puck quickly on powerplay. Scored on a snipe getting open in the high slot, a heavy shot to open scoring. An active skater off the puck in the offensive zone to get open, active to close down space defensively.

#2 Nicholas Desiderio - ‘08 Forward - Rockets Hockey Club

Smart lefty can feel through situations with simple skill but quick to control and maneuver around sticks or checks. An athletic 6’1”, constant on the powerplay. Scored in the 2nd period coming out of the corner, strong on his stick under pressure before a short side, bad angle goal. Long legs and still adding power to his frame, can really whip passes around in all 3 zones.

#71 Alexei Vlasov - ‘08 Forward - Rockets Hockey Club

A real facilitator in offensive and neutral zones, can stretch plays with crisp passes. Quick, slick puck handling cadence to create and move into new free spaces. Crafty to get open faking off puck before driving high to be available. Scored driving back door in 3rd boxing out opponent, feel and constant motion drive his game. A highly skilled wing, slightly undersized at 5’9”.

#10 Brandon Strunck - ‘08 Defenseman - Rockets Hockey Club

Scores 4th goal of game with a snappy one timer off a faceoff, good release and control from distance. Very active skater to get open and get out of congestion in his own zone. Not overly dynamic off his offensive blue line, but rugged to get down wall and fight for space.

#30 Nate Pitman - ‘08 Goaltender - PAL Jr Islanders

Was pulled after 6-0 in the 2nd, but a prospect to watch. Slightly undersized but technical in movements with plenty of compete. Had some squeaky goals but quick reactions and controlled recoveries. Was key early with big glove saves and compete level to keep the game close in the 1st.

#22 Anthony Cutalo - ‘09 Forward - PAL Jr Islanders

Left handed wing was quick thinking on the puck, agile on edges with a couple chances throughout the 1st-2nd period. The junior prospect is compact yet strong and elusive, with spacial awareness to take lateral space or change speeds on rushes to find teammates.

#17 Demid Guntypov - ‘08 Forward - PAL Jr Islanders

Liked his IQ in finding pockets to be open in ozone, scored net front getting low on stick in 2nd that was called off, good boxing out and positioning. The 5’9” right handed wing has the composure on the puck to dart or pull back before immediately attacking, creating space for himself.

#6 Justin Marino - ‘08 Defenseman - PAL Jr Islanders

Smooth lefty in transitions, an athletic, balanced skater with quick feet. Power is still coming but great decisions on puck, multiple outlet and quick touch passes in neutral zone to keep pucks moving. Marino’s active feet continue defensively, staying within dots and jumping on plays leading with stick / puck touch. Defended high skill all night, strong against the rush ability to jump laterally or keep up with stutter steps. High engagement in neutral and defensive zones.

#34 Sean Felker - ‘08 Defenseman - PAL Jr Islanders

Left handed D was smooth moving the puck all game, quick first touches, calm yet deliberate with puck decisions. Has the escapability and drive to make 1st/2nd forechecker miss, did well in both defensive and neutral zone to scamper out of pressure.
